Pearl is eight years old and lives with Mum and Gran. It takes three to make Pearl’s warm safe family. Pearl finds school a lonely frustrating place where, in her group of one, she rebels against her teacher’s insistence that all poetry must rhyme. Pearl’s world doesn’t rhyme, and as Mum looks after Gran, Pearl struggles to convince her world that poetry, like people, comes in all shapes and sizes.

Pearl Verses the World is a rhyme riddled musical journey about finding your place in the world.
