PARRAMASALA is an annual international contemporary arts festival that celebrates the global impact of the arts and cultures of Western Sydney’s communities. The city of Parramatta is home to vibrant arts and entertainment including music, dance, theatre, comedy, film, markets and visual arts from around the world and PARRAMASALA captures this wealth and folds it into a unique cultural event.

PARRAMASALA is presented in the city’s performing arts centre Riverside Theatres, Parramatta Town Hall, Information Cultural Exchange (ICE), PARRAMATTA ARTIST STUDIOS, outdoor stages in Prince Alfred Park, and special festival sites including Shahrukh Khan TEMPTATION RELOADED at ALLPHONES ARENA. In addition to ticketed programs, the festival presents free concerts and performances (including MALLAKHAMB ACROBATS), workshops, exhibitions and markets with Asian and South Asian food, fashion and handicrafts. The content of the festival is intentionally eclectic and wide-ranging and includes the performing arts, music, film, a bustling marketplace, visual arts, street animation and popular entertainment.

Headliners 2013: Fearless Nadia by BEN WALSH & the Orkestra of the Underground; Rising by ASKASH ODEDRA; Zameen by CuriousWorks, Attakkalari, The Dam(n) Project,  Manakottai by Sydney Nadaka Pritar.
